We Asked Social Media Users What They Thought About Celebrity Beefs

Recently, there have been multiple celebrity feuds occurring in the Ghanaian entertainment industry. These arguments have provided an extra layer of entertainment for some fans and have also left others with a bitter taste in their mouths. Some of these feuds have resulted in opposing fans arguing with each other.

Last week, we asked Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook users what they thought about celebrity feuds and unity in the Ghanaian entertainment space. This is what they had to say.

Instagram user @_snupegram9 says, “there’s nothing like unity, afterall the whole Ghanaian Media all slept on Northern Ghanaian Music and others. Unity here is bullshit.”

@wisdomkojo128 expressed that, “No fan should take anything personal. They are making their money from it.

When we hit Twitter, people had different responses to the question.

@Kweeku101 stated that, “It’s healthy for the growth of the industry. Mainly because it drives traffic to the pages of individuals involved. It sometimes brings about innovation and other great concepts especially musicians. De personal attacks and character assignation it’s what we must avoid.”

@gad_alert simply states that, “Chale, ibi like the entertainment industry is filled with arguments and clashes.”

And Facebook users did not fail to provide their insights on the topic as well.

Fafali Yevugah feels the fans are to blame. She says that, “the only people who encourage beef and disunity is we the fans. If we ignore and condemn such acts none of this will be happening.”

Moses Serge Wilson gave his insights as well. “How can you chew meat if you are toothless? There’s no peace in the country and it’s affecting every industry.”

It is interesting to see the varying views on this topic. Whatever your opinion is, make sure to feel your soul with fruitful content that makes you happy. Whether it’s celebrity feuds or educative articles, consume what makes you happy.
