A radio personality known as OB Nartey has criticised vehemently the new song of gospel musician, Celestine Donkor which featured Akwaboah and Efya.
Just a few days after its release, OB Nartey of Vision 1 FM —a self proclaimed Christian radio station— launched an attack on the musician. His argument, secular artistes are not fit to sing gospel songs.
Tempers flared in the studios of Peace FM when this topic was up for discussion as Arnold Asamoah Baidoo and OB Nartey engaged in a heated argument.
Ghanaian Filmmaker and former Director for Creative Arts at the National Commission on Culture (NCC), Socrate Safo has waded into the conversation throwing his weight behind Celestine Donkor. He called OB Nartey and his cohorts “ignorant.”
Supporting his submission with bible references, he said;
“In this current case, all those criticizing Celestine Donkor for dinning with the unbelievers, it tells me that they are all ignorant over what they claim they are. They don’t understand the Christianity they claim to be part. This rather the time more encouragement should be done to open way for other unbelievers. Such people should grow in the spirit and learn.”
”Thank you, Yedawase,” a thanksgiving song meant to thank the Creator for seeing us through the dreadful 2020. It features Maa Cynthia, Ashley Chuks, Eyram and Victor, Efya and Akwaboah.
