Tyrone Marguy, one of the Rastafarian students who were refused admission into Achimota School has said he is hoping for the best as he fights the school in court.
The young man posted a photo of himself at the Supreme Court to prove he wasn’t bluffing when he said he would sue.
The two brilliant students made headlines a few weeks back after Achimota School ordered them to cut their dreadlocks before they can be admitted into the school.
The impasse which lasted for weeks attracted the diverse opinions of various Ghanaian personalities who were either for or against the decision of the prestigious school.
The father of the 16-year-old boy, Raswad Menkrabea, was upset that the school is acting contrary to the constitution. He threatened to sue the school if they don’t act right.
“We are making alternatives for another school if it is going to be a long drawn out issue while we fight it in court,” he said on Citi FM’s Eyewitness News.
The Supreme Court is will be giving its verdict today about the situation.
