The founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim has said he is saddened by the passing of his mentor of 20 years, Nigerian Televangelist Temitope Balogun Joshua popularly known as TB Joshua.
According to Bishop Obinim, he learnt almost all of the tricks of the trade from the late man of God. Bishop Obinim who spoke at the Tema Branch of his church revealed that his way of conducting healing service is a replica of TB Joshua’s.
“You were a father to me, you were a mentor to me. I watched you all the time before my TV station came. May your soul rest in peace. I learnt many things from you. Today, I am confessing.
I learnt the way you teach from your programmes. If you see how Obinim conducts healing service, you would see TB Joshua. You brought a unique way of conduction healing service.”
Bishop Daniel Obinim recounted the day he met TB Joshua, saying the renowned man of God counselled him on countless occasions.
“I know you very well because you are my mentor. I told my members over 20 years ago that you are my mentor. You advised me several times. The second time we met, my wife and I came to SCOAN.
“I came there subsequently alone and you advised me. The last day we met was in 2006. I am sad that a man of God can die like that. That means anybody can die,” he disclosed.
Bishop Daniel Obinim used the occasion to bid TB Joshua farewell and send his condolences to the bereaved.
